This is part 5 of Valrie's Haiti Trip:

This is the aftermath of an accident of a tap-tap that Valrie had ridden in.  Fortunately, Valrie, or those she came out with were not present when this accident took place.  The accident occurred when the tap-tap was returning to the Moulin Sur Mer resort from Tent City.  None of Valrie's group were on it, however some locals that were assisting them were.  Luckily no one got seriously injured, though at first it was thought that they had.

This picture is from the Moulin Sur Mer resort.  This is the museum most of the dental team and few others went to go to, but werent allowed unless they paid $3 each, which had already been paid for as a group (the rest of the group went on Saturday when Valrie and her dental group went to the orphanage), so Valrie and her group ended up not going in; but here is an outdoor shot of the museum.  The museum contains information about Haiti and the site in which Moulin Sur Mur rests on, which use to be a sugar plantation.

This is a guy that made and sold decorative sticks.  His starting price was $200 for these sticks, but he eventually sold them for $10 when bargained down.  He could decorate them pretty quickly too.

This is Tent City where Valrie also did some work.  It was so named because of the many tents in the region for all the people who were displaced from their homes.

Another view of Tent City.  What was startling to Valrie was all the poverty, and yet the fact that there were billboards advertising different products.  It was mind boggling to her that so much money was spent on advertising in light of how much poverty was there.
