Pictures from the 2012 Los Angeles County Fair

These pictures are from the Los Angeles County Fair that was held in Pomona, California.  We went to the fair on September 28th, 2012 and these are some of the things we saw.

A motif on the Phantom of the Opera.  This has special significance for us because we watched the Phantom of the Opera several times while we were dating and it was our romantic movie.

Old clocks within a giant clock

An old country farm patio motif

 A colorful patio motif

A baby zebra eats with the other zebras

Large Clydesdales.  Notice how small the humans are to these giant horses.

A beautiful wood carving of a horse

A beautiful wood carving of a carriage and horses under attack by wolves and fleeing from the scene

 A beautifully decorated rocking chair

The sign of the company that produces these beautiful wood works

Can you spot the girl with her horse?

 Beautiful horse paintings

Blazin' Trails is where the previous two pictures of art and sculpture work were created.

The artist Karlis Dabols in the act of painting a scenic landscape

 Beautiful artwork by Karlis Dabols.

 The potter molds his clay

A baby calf with its mother.  We do not think this calf had been alive for very long as it was very small and its legs were still wobbly.

 A baby black goat

A white baby goat plays king of the hay bale

 The baby black goat again

A beautiful old carriage with a horn

Tomatoes planted in an interesting way that looks efficient

 A kid milking a goat

 Cody milking a goat

 Valrie milking a goat

The milk after the milking of the goat.  This picture shows it a little, but doesn't give you the real idea just how fizzy this milk looked afterwards.

This Budweiser Clydesdale is named Levi and he was among the biggest and strongest looking of the Clydesdales we saw.
